Genesis

  • The artist history

    Born at Gournay en Bray in Normandy (North-west of France) in 1958, he "grews up" among one of the most beautiful beech forests in Europe: the forest of Lyons. He lives today, front the Pyrénées mountains, in a small village in the south of France.
    Erick belatedly discovers the art of wood turning due to the fact he previously practised painting.


  • Several art events give him the opportunity to enjoy exception turned works. Through many discussions and meetings during conferences, he understood this art can be within reach. Attached to produce quality works, several pieces have been selected for the AFTAB travelling exhibition (French Association of Wood Art Turning).
    Today, he regularly translates his emotions through his work often based on colours.

    The end of a beautiful adventure

    The last exhibition "From the Heart to the Bark 2014/2015" was the ninth edition organized by AFTAB since 1997. Unique in Europe, in one place, a biennial selection of original and contemporary creations.
    Hundreds of pieces were exhibited ... Members of AFTAB, both professional and amateur, have lost a fabulous event for their art but also a unique way to meet and discover new talent. The amateur i am, is sad ...

  • Second edition of the Revelation event to the Grand Palais at Paris

    The Revelations event was held at the Grand Palais from 3 to 8 May, 2017

    After the strong success of the first edition, a new event was planned. For 2015 exhibition, more than 300 craftsmen presented the various trades of art and creativity of France, other countries are represented as well (the Chile this year).
    It is an appointment acclaimed by art lovers and collectors. For few days, the Grand Palais is the place for the knowhow of these designers who show their expertise to all! ...
